Tanuja: When I saw Bigg Boss, I wanted to slap everybody
Yesteryear actress Tanuja gets furious at the mere mention of her daughter Tanishaa’s close proximity to fellow inmate Armaan Kohli in the Bigg Boss House.
“My family is sacrosanct and I guard them fiercely. People think it is their janam sidh adhikar to ask us whatever they want to, but why should I answer?” asks she, adding, “I have never bothered about the press in my life, not even during my heydays. I never clarified anything.”
Was she upset about her younger daughter’s decision to enter the reality show? “Not really, it is her decision. She is 35; she must have had the need to do it and we supported her.” However, probe a little more and she admits, “In the beginning, yes, it did bother me. But it’s no big deal. We are family and we stick together,” she says.
The senior actress also rubbishes rumours that she went for the grand finale of the show unwillingly. “I was willing to go for the finale, why wouldn’t I go there?” she asks. And what about rumours of her son-in-law Ajay Devgn asking the show’s host and friend Salman Khan to get Tanishaa evicted from the show? “I don’t know about that, but I don’t think it’s true. Why would Ajay do something like that? We were okay with Tanishaa being on the show.”
Considering the show’s controversial profile and her family’s image, were they worried? “I don’t know; I hadn’t watched Bigg Boss earlier. But when I saw the show, I wanted to slap everybody silly,” she says with a hearty laugh. “But you can’t figure out what being in an environment like that feels. It’s better not to judge it. My baby has come out safe and sound, and I am fine,” she adds.
