After a long wait Master has hit the screens. The makers had managed well to keep the hype high even during the pandemic and multiple delays in the release dates.
Vijay Vs Vijay Sethupathi was always going to be a battle to remember. With both the stars having a strong fan base, this movie was guaranteed to be a mass entertainer. But to cut the long story short, Vijay Sethupathi steals the show in most of the scenes. It was refreshing to see Vijay as a vulnerable human. Even though Vijay Sethupathi’s character was carved out well with a strong back story, it seems that Vijay’s character was left in a limbo when it comes to the back story.
Most of the mass dialogs land with Vijay Sethupathi’s kitty and the scenes between both the stars are crafted very well by giving both stars good screentime. Some of the cast members just appear for a scene or two and it adds to the length of the movie. The movie is close to 3 hours long, and it could have been easily chopped to a 2 hours and 30 minutes version. But I am sure that no one will complain when you are watching Vijay and Vijay Sethupathi share the screen.
The action scenes ae good. The opening mass music for Vijay’s into is also good. But the songs of the movie are not typical Anidurh’s craft. The BGM is amazin as well.
Overall, the movie is a good mass entertainer and worth a watch in the theater.
