Chennai Express Movie Review

Chennai Express, the latest release by Rohit Shetty and team has released in a record number of screens. The team has promised it to be the best eid gift for the viewers. And you bet, it does turn out to be a great entertainer.

Shahrukh Khan and Rohit Shety, both of who have done totally different styles of work, have surprised us all with their amazing understanding and teamwork. Deepika has done an amazing work portraying a South Indian girl. And Rohit has made sure that the movie can be viewed by the maximum number of audience by casting most of the known faces in tamil film industry, thus giving a more natural look to the movie.

The movie begins with certain twist in events, after which Shahrukh Khan and Deepika  Padukone end up in the Chennai Express train en route to Komban town, the hometown of Meenalochini (Deepika). SRK is fun to watch and he pulls out a role of Rahul yet again with great style or should I say Rohit Shetty Shtyle!!!.

The first half of the movie is extremely fast and entertaining and you reach the intermission within no time, but the second half seems to get draggy with songs every few minutes. But that does not hinder the flow of the movie in any way, and as the songs are already top in chartbusters,  guarantee that you will not complain.

The rest of the movie shows how Rahul realizes his love toward Meena and what he does to win her with the permission of her father and fellow townsmen. Major part of the movie is in tamil, but the viewers will not have any issues in understanding the conversation, thanks to the brilliant screenplay. The movie showcases some breathtaking locations in South India and all the actors have done justice to their role.

The movie also showcases the great comical timing of SRK and Deepika and the latter has done a extremely good job as a tamil girl and her tamil vocabulary is hilarious. By the time the chennai express reaches the terminal station ie. the climax, you will be asking for more.

To sum it all up, do not miss this train, as it will take you on a joy ride full of fun and gags and not to forget the action in Rohit Shetty Shtyle. The film has something for everyone, let it be north indian or south indian, all of them are guaranteed to have a gala time. So Ready… Steady… PO!!!!. Go ahead, and board this train, and live a light moment of over two hours from our stressful lives.
