62nd Filmfare Awards South
Kamal Haasan, Dhanush, Allu Arjun, Nagarjuna, Mammootty, Jyothika, Tamannaah Bhatia, Kajal Aggarwal, Khushboo, Lakshmi Manchu, Jagapati Babu, Sarathkumar, A.R. Murugadoss and Bala among others were presenat at the 62nd Filmfare Awards South.
Dhanush won the Tamil Best Actor award for his performance in ‘Velaiyilla Pattathari‘.
Shruti Haasan took home the Telugu Best Actress award for her performance in ‘Race Gurram‘.
Allu Arjun was declared Telugu Best Actor for his performance in ‘Race Gurram‘.
“I thank all my fellow actors for not acting well so that I could win the best actor award,” said Mammootty.
Nagarjuna, whose production ‘Manam‘ won the Telugu Best Film award, posted on Twitter: “Thank u all for loving manam so much.”
The award for Best Actor (Critics) went to Nivin Pauly for his performance in Malayalam film ‘1983‘.
‘Madras‘ actor Karthi shared the Best Actor (Critics) award with Nivin Pauly.
A.R. Murugadoss Tamil film ‘Kaththi‘ won two awards – Best Film and Best Director.

Shreya Ghoshal won the Malayalam Best Playback Singer (Female) award for the song “Vijanathayil Pathi Vazhi Thedunnu” from ‘How Old Are You‘.
