The "Magik" has done its magic. Rock On is rocking the box office in India and rest of the world and its sure to continue for some time to come.

Rock On is based on 4 friends who make their own rock band but break up due to some misunderstanding and ego. Adi (Farahan Akthar) is living his not- so-perfect married life with Sakshi (Prachi Desai), but sooner she founds out that this is not the Adi of the past. This is when she decides to reunite Magik - the band, after 10 long years. From there the movie is magikal....

The best highlight of the movie is its screenplay, camera, music and lyrics.

The screenplay is so fantasic and the transition between past and present is just perfect. The camera is so well handled that the scene becomes very natural and realistic. You cannot even decide that whether they band actually plays the instruments or just pretending because the angles will never let you judge.

Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy has done a great job. The Music is just roking and full of energy, but i think its not rock music. Most of the music were Jazz in the movie, thats what i felt according to my music knowledge. I could be wrong. The lyrics are very simple and natural and it makes you realize that there is a poet residing inside each and everyone of us and that we can make a song or poem from the normal words that we use in our daily life. Sindbad the sailor, pichle saat dino mein and socha hai songs are pure magic.

Rock On is a very different kind of movie and a must watch for all movie and music fans. This is a great blend of music and movie where neither of them let you down.

As its truly said in the movie, Life is all about compromise. Aakhir compromise kaun nahi karta yaar.

So Rock On and Keep Roking!!!!!

Plus: Excellent Story, Good Music, Great Screenplay and direction

Minus: I felt the movie in litte slow in few places

Here, Aamir Khan has performed as the mythological half man-half woman ‘Ardhnarishwar‘ in a Tata Sky ad. This ad, the first for the company by Aamir will go on air from today. The ad has been conceptualised by the company’s marketing team along with Rediffusion. Bollywood writer-director Neeraj Vohra has directed the ad. This 70 seconds ad showing half of Aamir as a Punjabi girl, and the other half as a boy.

Recover Data for Hard disk or USB

Data Recovery Tool - Active Undelete

Yesterday, I was stuck in an awkward situation. My laptop suddenly stopped recognizing my USB drive. When i tried to open the device, the system would flash a message asking me to format the drive in order to use it. I tried the same in other computers, but the result was the same. I didn't wanted to format the device as it has some of my important information.

After long search in the internet to find a good data recovery tool, I came across a utility called Active Undelete. The application did remarkably well to recover almost 95 % of the data and i lost just a few orphan files which were not of much use( I feel the reason for that was those files were not compatible to any of the computer operating system, they were some files from my PSP).

This utility uses a rather interesting approach in trying to recover the files. It just tries to open the file in all the available Operating System formats like windows, mac, linux etc. And when any of the formats matchs, it simply recovers the file.

Intel cuts electric cords with wireless power system

Intel, today unveiled its state of the art wireless power transmitter technology.

SAN FRANCISCO (AFP) - Intel on Thursday showed off a wireless electric power system that analysts say could revolutionize modern life by freeing devices from transformers and wall outlets.

Intel chief technology officer Justin Rattner demonstrated a Wireless Energy Resonant Link as he spoke at the California firm's annual developers forum in San Francisco.

Electricity was sent wirelessly to a lamp on stage, lighting a 60 watt bulb that uses more power than a typical laptop computer.

Most importantly, the electricity was transmitted without zapping anything or anyone that got between the sending and receiving units

It uses the magnetic field for power transmission, that in now way effects the human body.

The technology could also be built into plugged in computer components, such as monitors, to enable them to broadcast power to devices left on desks or carried into rooms, according to Smith.

"Initially it eliminates chargers and eventually it eliminates batteries all together," analyst Rob Enderle of Enderle Group said of Intel's wireless power system.

"That is potentially a world changing event. This is the closest we've had to something being commercially available in this class." said an Intel official.

iPhone Launch in India



India is all set for the launch of iPhone. Earlier Airtel has announced its iPhone debut on 22nd of August and Vodafone is yet to declare the launch date of its iphone service. But the thing to be noted here is, even though not officially, it is said that iphone in India will cost a whooping Rs. 31,000 exclusive of the service, where as based on the US launch price, it should be just below Rs. 10,000 only.

It clearly indicates that both Apple and the service providers are well aware of the iPhone craze among the public and want to make maximum profit in a short time. So, for those who are planning to be the first ones to own an iPhone in India, beware, as the prices are sure to fall sooner or later. Remember, patience has its rewards. :) :)

Bachna Ae Haseeno Review

Bachna Ae Haseeno Review



As feared, the Haseenas have nothing to be afraid of after all. Bachna ae haseeno does not seem to steal their hearts. So its safe for them to watch the movie.

After watching the premiere show of the movie, I felt that it is just an above par movie and there was nothing outstanding in it to survive in the box office for a longer time (and to make profit too), especially during this time when films like Jaane Tu... and Kismat Konnection are still doing well and Singh is Kinng is also rocking the box office.

When the film starts, one gets the feeling that the film will be out and out comdey, after all its about a boy falling in love with three girls (sounds exciting, isint,t). But the momentum of the movie never seems to pick up, of course there are a few splashes of fun here and there. But as the movie continues, you will realise that the story is fallen apart as bits and pieces and there is not connection between these three love stories.

Ranbir Kapoor has done considerably well in the film and we can now be sure that he can act a bit. So, his talent was wasted after all, in Saawariya. Well, out of the heriones, Bipasha stands out, may be bacause her role was litte longer and more interesting than the others. The on-screen chemistry between Ranbir and Deepika does not seem to leave any charm in the movie as Deepika seems to be really "acting" and there was nothing natural in the scenes involving them.

The movie has a few glimpses of other Hindi and South Indian movies and has a major contribution from DDLJ (it was supposed to be that way). The first half of the movie is full of fun but the second half seems to be dragging as there are songs after songs to slow the pace of the film. The films seems to go normally when Ranbir cheats Manisha and Bipasha but the twist come when Deepika rejects his proposal and Ranbir gets the taste of his own medicine. This is when the hero decides to apologize to all this former girlfriends. This part of the movie is litte fun, thanks to the little cameo played by Kunal Kapoor. The part where Bipasha tortures Ranbir is funny. But the films come the an unnatural and abrupt end, may be the director realised that he is dragging the movie after all.

Overall, the film is satisfactory. Worth watching for time pass.

Minus: Too many songs in second half slows down the movie, Screenplay could have been far better

Singh is Kinng Review

"Singh is Kinng", Akshay Kumar's next venture is doing considerably well in the box office. Last week i watched the movie, and it was a total entertainer (comedy, without any logic of course). As it has been talked about, this is not a religious film. It has a unwanted large star cast that adds too much masala to the film.

The songs of Singh is Kinng are quite good and are toe teasers. Bhootni ke and Singh is Kinng songs are the best in the collection and the lyrics are quite funny too.

This is a complete comedy flim which has a small message for the society hidden in the it. The steps taken by the Kinng to change his friends' attitude are both funny and touching (it was supposed to be so). The script was in no need of two heroines, Kartina Kaif and Neha Dhupia, but were just added for glamour.

Some scenes are just hilarious, like the party scene in which all of them have a gun hidden with them and the scenes of Javed Jaffery is too good and saves you from getting bored by too much masala.

Overall, the film worths watching atleast once.
